This ranch has strong genetics and carries an abundance of wildlife including whitetail deer, turkey, quail, dove, javelina, hogs, bass, waterfowl and varmints. Turkey have roosting sites up and down the 3+ miles of Picosa Creek. Excellent brush and water everywhere makes this a wildlife paradise.
Vegetation: This wild and wooly ranch has a tremendous diversity of brush throughout. All of the browse necessary to grow trophy deer are found on it. Brush species include Guajillo, Granjeno, Guayacaon, Kidney Wood, Black Brush, White Brush, Persimmon, Prickley Pear, Tasajillo and many more. Large oak, elm and hackberry trees can be found on the creek. There are also large mesquite trees scattered throughout.
Water: This ranch has two major named creeks running through it. With over 3 miles of Picosa Creek and 1 mile of Dos Chimenas Creek, this ranch runs a lot, and holds a lot, of water. These creeks hold water during wet times and provide run-off to several lakes. The ranch has a total of 9 lakes, all that offer good bass fishing, dove hunting and duck hunting. There is one water well on the ranch that is run by a solar pump and waters a water trough and pila.
